Hi Jim!

Sure, I've seen lots and lots of (oooold) bush planes anywhere
in Alaska, on lakes, rivers, sea and on short strips someone has
to see to believe. Mainly Cubs equipped with extra large wheels and
quite a bunch of a/c with rotary engines (Beavers and such).
I just hope that those a/c are better maintained than most of Alaska's
automobiles that too often resemble a piece of junk!
How about avgas prices in Alaska? As far as gas, had to rub my eyes
outside of Anchorage (1.26/gal) and Fairbanks (1.37/gal).
Skagway was 1.67/gal. Okay, doesn't compare to Canada's or even
ours, but ever heard of Boundary (2.50/gal)?
Done 4000 mls in Alaska and Yukon :-), even wanted to drive a loop
road in Anchorage and ended up in front of Elmendorf AFB gate with
my RV :-).
