To put it simply, no.
To put it more complicated.... Probably no.  It would depend on what
your video card can handle, or whether you feel the urge to start doing
register level reprogramming of it and supplying your own custom size
fonts, etc.
If your video card handles it, then just do a bios int10 with the
appropriate video mode number.  But it won't be portable.
