Hi Jim:
I had the same problem on my HP Omnibook.
The original 40GB IBM drive was not available.
I got an 80GB Drive Hitachi drive and had to move the "Drive Caddy to
the new drive.
If a drive is listed as a replacement you will havee to move the
"Drive Caddy" or buy a new one
The BIOS recognized the largersize
** NOTE ** Drive Caddy is the big difference between Notebooks.
It will have the outside plastic trim to match
and the inside conector.
