Close, but the general case would have to involve direct
feedback into the genome somehow--geez, right now I can't
even come up with a wild thought experiment on what I
meant--my giraffe example seems to fall short... :) maybe my
thought is so wrong that it's "not even wrong." (was it Bohr
who said that about a theory once?) Will think on this a
little more...must be some decent general way to link
physical changes to the genome itself. ...tonyC
