I remember that in Toronto in 1967 (I was a student doing a clinical
clerkship at the East general). In 1975 when I came to BC it was much the
same, but very rapidly changed.
Vancouver now has great restaurants, which was not the case in '75. My
daughter is in the business, so all the great new restaurants are operated
by friends of hers. We get some good meals when I take her to the Opera.
