This happened to my Canon 4100, it quit on me. I had nothing to
loose so I opened it up and found a gear in the entraining for
the paper, that had a broken shaft, of plastic. I found that a 4"
nail was exactly the same shaft diameter and it still is there
humming away for me. Give it a try.
