-> no, i use SIO and Vmodem with both real serial ports and virtual -> ports... with both DOS and native OS/2 programs... Must work on ECS. But on Warp4, Vmodem gave me some dll error message and failed to run. I have a Warp4 test partion, maybe I can try again when I get curious about it. -> true... in many cases, folks have been spolied by the install and go -> stuff... few really understand how it all works these days :/ The 32-bit, and now, 64-bit programming models are easier to work with, no doubt. But if you never experience the 16-bit DOS pain, you're not a real programmer. :-) --- PCBoard (R) v15.4/M 250 Beta* Origin: Torres Vedras - Portugal (2:362/6) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 280 640/384 712/0 620 848 770/1 @PATH: 362/6 240/1120 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
