We hope your summer has been going well,I apologize for not responding but
I,ve been vacationing myself.
Ours is a synergy between technology and music. It is the proper
application of a correct technology within a system which dictates whether
an audio system sounds good. It is not about spending absurd money on a
hyped boutique system.
Unfortunatly most listeners have forgotten the definition of the term
Hi fidelity. Fidelity is defined as an adherence to fact, therefore in
audio terms, the seeking of a musical reality is the goal, however, we
can't entirely lay the blame at the feet of the consumer. The audio
merchandisers do not care
-____they don,t have imagination. As Ken Ishiwata remarked in a recent interview
when asked about the current state of high fi Marantz's talented designer felt
that the technology currently available is very high but not applicable to
domestic scenarios. He went on to say that most of today,s equipment is not
good
technology nor good hifi, futhermore he states they have no business calling the
products the"best".When questioned why Marantz decided to reissue the 7c and
9 monobloc,mr Ishiwata replied Marantz had gotten many requests and he felt that
people should be reminded of what "hifi is all about, particularly those in the
industry"
This is why we offer the following , which rely on that afore
mentioned criteria.
A.J.M.T has a fully equipped lab for restoring precision audio tube
equiptment. i.e: Marantz, Mcintosh, Dyna, Heath, Conrad Johnson. We do
superb set up of analog cassette decks and digital front ends. We also hav
a facility to retip valuable phono cartridges, and turntable set-up as
well, including tone arm mounting.
Also something of significant note to Owners of afore mentioned Equipment,
especially Marantz and Mcintosh, many of these units regardless of history
whether original or passed through many hands but it is true whether
modifying perfectlygood equipment, replacing components with incorrect
values,changing
ac cords, etc. The list is litterally endless, also much of this equipment is
as much as 30 years old and maintaining them just makes sense, both sonically
and finance.I do not beleive in cutting corners, making mods, besides the
original designers made them as state art ,modern tube amp designers do
not
necessarily have any thing on these guys.Call me with your restoration needs.
Also Dynaco Pas Preamps are wonderful inexpensive fine sounding units, alittle
replacement parts without circuit modification is warranted, please inquire.
Our access to nos tubes ie:Telefunken, Mullard, GE, RCA and Amperex, is
extensive.Including matching on Output tubes which is necessity.
In Addition,Golden Tube owners.Specifically SEP1 Preamp and SE40 Power
Amp users, I can provide excellent tube substitutions which will get the
best performance from these wonderful components.
Nakamichi cassette owners we can restore the transport with new
Idler/transportkit please inquire.
Please feel free to inquire if you have units you would like to sell.
The above mentioned manufacturers are preferred. Also owner of TUbes which
they would
like to sell, please feel free to call.(telefunken, amperex, etc only please)
Regarding tube FM tuners:If you have never listened, you are missing
the true musical capabilities of this format, a proper aerial feed being
necessary. Our tuners when necessary are retubed and properly realigned and
auditioned in our shop, which is why I mentioned the quality of the aerial
feed. Same warrenties apply.
[ A Note from A.J. Meyer. I would like to mention that I prefer to do
business over the telephone. It is impossible for me to describe the care
and restoration that goes into all my equiptment in a posting. Inquiries
about price and so fourth will only be answered via telephone
communication. Howeveer when possible
I will respond to as many of your inquiries asI can.
