PE> I don't know if there's a BLAKES_7 echo in the UK, but I am PE> attempting to find out so that I can link this one to it. PE> If anyone knows where I can find out this information, PE> please let me know. Thanks + bye. i originally arranged connection of this echo to the UK when it was 1st created (someone in the UK proposed it and i said i'll set it up in the australia side and paid Lee and Ian McLean to import/export it via the then existing UK_OZ feed.. the situation lasted several months with lots of good traffic to and from the UK and at one time we even had New Zealand here as well.. then suddenly no traffic.. the link to the UK was still active.. our traffic was still going to UK but nothing in return.. after i while i decided i didn't want to pay just for our traffic to go out to UK and nothing back so i asked lee to cut the link to UK i've yet to find out why traffic stopped and it was only after about 2 or 3 months of no UK traffic that i pulled the plug for some history.. this area was created about the 1st oct 1991 to coinside with the creation of same named echo in the UK which was also created and link joining UK to OZ was quickly established.. the last UK traffic arrived early december 1991.. mid december 1991 we had some new zealand traffic in here (very short lived.. maybe a week worth) march 1st was my official "pull the plug" on the int'l link to the UK (why should i pay to ship our msgs to Z2 and have none return :-() if you can re-establish the link you are welcome.. p.s.. one of the popular discussions were about the Blake7 Quote file that i have available for FREQ as magic name "BLAKE7" ag ---* Origin: Andy's BBS - Melb Aust - +61-3-357-3414 (3:635/503) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/54 620/243 632/348 386 998 633/371 635/210 503 636/100 SEEN-BY: 640/201 711/409 807 808 809 934 712/623 713/635 888 800/1 @PATH: 635/503 50/99 54/54 711/808 809 |
