What I'm -> thinking about is the possibility of replacing -> the old dot-matrix machines with old lasers, -> offered as a donation to the volunteer group. I -> think they're old HPs. It was mostly the earlier then Laser II HP printers. I have donated several HP 4P printers and they work fine with almost any copier paper. I don't speak to any of the other Laser Printers as the onel ones I have had much to do wity was a couple of Epson Laser 1500 models. They were a quality machine but the Toner cartridges cost about $190.00 I understand some of the Lexmark Lasers have somewhat expensive toner cartridges. But even with the $70 cost of the cartridge for my HP 5P I get 5000 copies plus. That figures out to 1.4 Cents per page for the toner. I don't concider that too bad concidering the quality of the output. And for vouums of printing the silence of the Laser compaired to the Dot Martix. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 1 379/1 633/267 |
