Only if Dave Lyle has the same modem you and I have.  :-)  However, I think 
Dave has a Rockwell-type modem; I just did a search in four Rockwell.inf 
files and found not a single ATZ command:
    MDMROCK .INF
    MDMROCK2.INF
    MDMROCK3.INF
    MDMROCK4.INF
Much to my surprise, all 4 contained "HKR,, Reset,, "AT&F"

Rick, it might be a good idea to recommend a backup of USER.DAT and 
SYSTEM.DAT before anyone modifies the Registry, just in case. :-)
