It seems odd to me, too, Shoshona, and I agree with you that a Mac loader IS
needed. It would be a wise move, too, particularly in light of the apparent
willingness to woo Mac hosts by including the Mac BBS packages in their
"special customer" arrangement in the sysop program.

If there are other Mac sysops out there reading this, your words of support
could go a long way toward helping encourage USR to release a Mac loader for
Courier FlashROM updates.

Shoshona is right, in my opinion, about the absurdity of having to purchase a
DOS emulator just to load FlashROM. While I just happen to have an old
version of SoftPC, I would NOT be in a position to purchase the current
release of SoftWindows (retailing at a price greater than the Courier itself
under the sysop program) simply to have a way to load FlashROM.

Mac sysops everywhere would appreciate some attention to this situation, I'm
sure, and that, in turn, would likely influence more of them to invest in the
Courier line.

My humble opinion, of course. Personally, I wouldn't use anything BUT a
Courier.

Walter
