How many "accidents" can you have before it becomes obvious it is
murder?  At that, that sort of thing would be pointless because support for
the NORAID in one form or another was so popular collections used to be
made in just about every Irish-American bar in the US on a regular bases.
They couldn't possibly kill enough to make any difference and I can tell
you from personal experience that if such killings occurred here support
for NORAID would have increased exponentially.

One of the problems NORAID had was that far too many Irish-Americans were
indifferent to what was happening in someone's else's country. Were their
fellow
Irish-Americans to start getting killed, that indifference would have vanished.

Anyway, it is all fantasy stuff. The Brits would never take the risk of
doing anything of that sort, especially since it would not have
accomplished anything,
but rather probably made things worse.
