They sell scandal, financial scandal. If there is one thing that beats sex
for public titillation, it is money, especially lots of money. You might
even say that after Clinton, sex no longer plays all that well.  There are
sex scandals bubbling up seemingly all over the place for the new
California governor, but the public seems little interested.

If Clinton accomplished little else, he did push sex in public life onto
the back burner.
