The power supply I was speaking about (of which I have 3) is the fanless
(hence no noise) 503 Watt model (well, there is a fan that can be
activated but doesn't make noise - 12 -db). The heath dissipation is
done by a huge cooling block, such as for instance in a Krell power
amplifier for instance.
Togheter with the Silentmaxx processor fan at the Presscot P4 I have an
almost 100 % silenced system when system turns to standby. No problem to
listen radio and TV at low volume and hear the ppp in classical music.
The case is an Antec big tower with open holes all over both sides.
