We don't have renewable licenses here - yet. Once you receive your
teaching certificate it's yours. They are trying to set up a College of
Teachers here in Ontario that will require us to do a certain amount of
professional development to retain our certification.
Here, when I am finally hired by the board I will be on a probationary
contract. After two years of satisfactory employment I receive permanent
contract status but this has nothing to do with provincial requirements
only employer/board requirements.
