WalMart clerks probably weren't, though I think the first incident involved
a whole lot more in one transaction.

Tracking disposable phones (better - disposable SIM cards) is an
interesting appllication in data mining.  I have two, and it's interesting
to think about how the authorities track them.  My calling pattern (my
kids, my friends, business colleagues) would be a damn close match to my
registered phone and from there they know who's using the phone.

The second one lives on the same body - it makes the same cell changes and
has done for a year.  Wanna bet they've linked the two by data mining?

I'll bet.  And they can do all that statistically, without tapping even one call.
