BL> Petrol isn't illegal, last I heard. RS> Petrol sniffing is tho. BG> Not as such, it's not. Yes it is. BG> And neither is intentionally inhaling the contents of aerosol cans, Yes it is. BG> although offenders may be charged under laws other than the Drugs BG> Misuse Act 1987 (as amended). Nope, it aint that simple. BG> A good case in point occurred just last week, where a Logan City BG> male, aged 16, and a female, aged 13, inhaled the contents of a can BG> of butane (gas lighter refill), and the girl died as a result (the BG> fourth such death in just 6 months in this area alone). Yeah, its a problem. BG> There were no Drugs Misuse Act laws under which the male could be BG> charged, QLD possibly, its got some rather bizarre laws. BG> so the DPP did him for manslaughter instead, alleging that he had BG> incited the girl to take her own life. He was found guilty, and will BG> be sentenced later this week. I think you have garbled that one too. Inciting someone to take their own life isnt manslaughter. Manslaughter is a general garbage bin crime for activity which results in death when a reasonable person should have been able to see that there was a risk of death. That can be something as trivial as a prank to stuff like willfully running a red light. RS> Pity you got every single example wrong |-) BG> Bar one. ;-) Bar none. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
