Well...where to start...I have a Zenith model 3000 battery operated
shortwave receivber. On the band selector is this area for longwave
frequencies.I beleive it covers from about 150-400 Mhz? or Khz.The trouble
is,I don't hear a thing, not a word out of any of the entire bandspread.I have
an external inverted L antenna at about 25 feet in the air with some 200 feet
of wire strung out.I have expiremented with this band spread at various
locations, including carrying it with me to the top of an old fire lookout to
see if that might help but alas! I hear not one thing. The local SW shop has
had it checked out on all fres and bands and they are in workingt
condition. What I want to know is: Why...after so much time and effort does
this silly thing not provide any freqs that are to be heard???
Offers of aide and assistance greatly and humbly appreciated.
