Yeap. And few people seem to realize the implications of it.
Merge them?  Why?  We have much to lose and little to gain. Use Inet for
streamlining of Fido transport?  Why not, no problem there. But being
diluted into the sea of TCP/IP is not good for this independant messaging
network.
Better leave it to die of its own.  We'll always have an inet but we may
never have Fido anymore.
