Salut Terry,
TS>> SP-10, SP-15, and SP-25 turntables are among the pro items.
JK>> I see. Well, I also haven't heard of Technics pro audio gear. And, as
JK>> someone working in pro audio, I don't consider turntables as being pro.
TS> But then, you just reinforced that you are not experienced in pro audio,
TS> as you've indicated in other discussions where some of us have offered
TS> advice in other areas you've needed to learn under "trial by fire" work.
Huh? I can remember only one discussion we had here. That was about telephone
hybrids. And I agree that I have no experience in broadcast audio. But on the
other hand, I'm working quite a number of years in live audio.
TS> BTW, pro TT's with self contained bases, arms, and cue monitors have
TS> traditionally been common only in Europe, while in other countries one
has
TS> traditionally needed to assemble such systems as an end user.
The only people I know that own turntables are DJs. And over here, they are
counted among the "artists", not the pro users.
The term "pro" is, over here, understood in quite a strict sense: stage and
studio. Perhaps this is were our misunderstanding lies.
But I'm willing to learn. So tell me, are there other Technics pro audio
items than turntables?
bye ....
         Joe
