All available computing will be packaged as a single multi-CPU blade server with multiple VMs. Just like the Microsoft 'Event labs', the gate refresh is just a single button to reimage all VMs. Customers will use thin client techniques to access their own workstation back home. Thin client often won't actually work in my situation. I'd have to burn an image on tape or DVD and take it along or ship it, then rent a PC on the other end. But all airline travel as we know it will end the day they infiltrate a group planning to destroy airplanes by going on board with a stick of C4 up their rear. No one will be willing to go through the security checkpoints after that. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
