you consider a "brain":
What you did was offensive. Period. It had NOTHING to do with your
questionable political leanings. It had EVERYTHING to do with your
arrogance and presumption you could "try to pass" as either...
A) a Jew
or
B) one conversant and learned about Jewish culture, traditions,
   and language...
Your post also lacked the *humility* and *apologetic tone* of
C) one who wished to try & honor/respect those traditions in spite
   of a lack of understanding, which would have been forgiven ...
   (I've known many people like this through the years, many with
   even more liberal politics than yours, and I felt they were
   respecting/honoring me/my people/our traditions, etc. -- too
   bad the same could NOT be said for the boorish way you tried
   to bull your way into playing the fake Yiddophile)...
Instead, your post was arrogant, conceited, and totally lacking ANY
redeeming quality that could allow it to be respected by ANYONE --
whether a Jew like myself or even by a Gentile who is TRULY tuned in
and aware of the nature of the terms they choose to use, or, more
appropriately in your case, choose to MISappropriate... Words DO mean
something -- regardless of the language chosen -- and when one chooses
particular words, terms, or phrases, they better be darn certain they
KNOW the meaning and context of the words & also ensure they DON'T stick
both feet in their mouths because they really didn't have a clue about
the choice of words, words used to impress ... yet were caught & called
on the carpet for (ie, your little faux pas)...
I'll now drop this subject. I encourage you to do the same.
