MD> Hey Tammy, I just started reading here. It appears that others are

MD> Just got here, not leavin' anytime soon either.
Home schooling a 4 year old ism't very hard. If you have a computer there a
some really nice programs out there. If you are on the net you can do
a search of educational files and find some preschool ones.
Do art and craft things that will help her small coordination. Keep reading
here, we are all here, but get caught up sometimes. Basically finding
things that will be fun and crafty will teach her more at her age.
Drawing a picture of an apple for example and than putting an A on it.
Do only several letters every few weeks. Basically all she really needs
to do is recognize letters, her name, know where she lives, address,
numbers thru 10 or 20. Don't push her. The less you push and the more
you have fun, the more she will learn. Personally I like computer
games of these nature. My grand daughter is 4 and doesn't like to learn,
but is doing wonders on the computer since I moved accross the street
and she can access a computer more. She loves the music that goes with
the ABC's and even matching stuff. I have a matching memory game of
Toy STory. It isn't really much, but she loves it. She hasn't really
developed memory skills yet and still has trouble with the mouse, but
is comming along. She also has done a program a while back that requires
you to pick a shape that belongs to another shape (part of a shape like a
piece of pie belongs to a circle). She got a 100 percent. So I think
she is alot smarter than we thought. Only she doesn;t like borning things
like repeating ABC and stuff. She will repeat it to the computer though.
Good Luck
Regina
