It now looks like the intended purchasers were abroad. In this context:
a) Dump the packaging - it's too bulky b) Dump the charger - almost no
where else on the planet is compatible c) Dump the manuals - they'll be in
English
A generic phone charger now costs GBP5 in Sheffield. For some phones, GBP10.
The manual can almost always be downloaded off the web.
Consumer electronics prices are almost always lower in the USA than in,
e.g., Europe and especially the UK. I usually buy such trinkets on US
trips - I bought a 128MB MMC card and two genuine IBM batteries for my
laptop on one visit and paid the same number of dollars as I would pounds.
So you have to factor in an unlocking cost - once the stuff is bought, 50c
a phone. Shipping and a charger.
There's commercial potential there.
Terrorist users, such as the Madrid bombers, try and act as normal as
humanly possible. That would mean buying their phones locally from
recognised outlets as if they were going to use them.
