I think that Jack is right, as with the Stealth technology, it would
be very possible that an observor might misstake a Stealth bomber for
a UFO.
The triangular type of design seems to be related to the configurations
of lights as observed in night conditions, and not necessarily related
to the craft being triangular in shape as well. Three lights positioned
on a saucer-shaped craft would appear the same way.
