     I have set up an input form, into which I wish to paste from the 
     32-bit w-95 buffer.  Using ask() didn't work at all, so switched to 
     read().  Using read(), I can paste into the input field using ALT C, 
     but not from the Windows buffer (using ESC C A).  We're talking ver 
     2.6, or course. Any hints?
