subject: Floor skim coat

Hi All,
I am in the process of applying some Armstrong S-184 skim coat to my
bathroom and kitchen floors. I'm just about finished the 2nd bathroom
and the kitchen. But I have a small problem.
In the bathroom I'm working on now, the Armstrong product cracks and
comes off the floor in hunks. I don't understand . . . I thoroughly
cleaned and dried the floor before I applied the stuff.
Has anyone else used this product before? I'm concerned that the
cracking skimcoat may affect the tiles I'm putting down. It worked
beautifully in the 1st bathroom. Any advice?
Thanks,
