First of all you need to determine what platform (or OS) you
are writing for. If is Windows, You don't have to worry about
the interface. You use the Windows API or MFC, both of which
make it very easy to create your interface. If you're developing
for a text based implimentation, you'll have to do more work.
For UNIX, curses will speed things up. For MS-DOS you will have
to work from just about scratch, unless you can find a good
free library to work with.
