Limits
Hi James,
JM>Your system becoming suddenly unstable and crashing. It appears as if
JM>one of the pointers in the DOS/4GW stub cannot address more than
JM>32MB of space.
This shouldn't crash the system, just GPF the VDM session. However, that's a
funny pointer that is limited to 32MB. It would be a 25-bit one. [Think
about that.]
DN> I haven't had to push any of my DOS/4GW proggies beyond 32MB yet, so
DN> I'd like to know what might happen.
JM>You should not have to either. I think that DOS/4GW limits
JM>the size of any addressable file...
Addressable file? What's that?
The limit should be determined by the DPMI server, not the client. In a VDM
the server should be OS/2's VMM, not DOS/4GW.
Regards
Dave
