One thing I've noticed is that we unconsciously like to think of
ourselves as living in the time when everything has been figured out.
But in reality we know maybe 1% of what can be known about the
universe.  It is now beyond doubt that the universe is at least
billions of years old, but that does not mean we know every little
thing about cosmology, life, and evolution.
