I liked Desperation a lot. It slightly resembled me of 'It' although 'It' is
IMHO still the better one.

Hmmm, it's difficult to explain since many things are being clarified in the
second half of the book so I had to give away these facts but that would be
some sort of spoiler. Thus, I'll keep it very basic - Mad cop arrests a
couple of people and gets them to a town where everybody's dead. But they can
trick the cop and escape and then find out that the true reason for the
strange happenings lies deep down in an old coal mine: Tak. It's all very
religious as the 'key' is a young boy who prayes all the time and talks to
god etc.
