I would never do wedding videos (no offence). There are
two problems with them-1) you get labelled, ie, as soon as
you start doing them, you do get "typecasted" into it and
the word spreads and the higher end project creators (big
businesses) don't want to deal with a "small fry." There
is a company in town that tried to start in the wedding video
market and then convert, but it's been four years of frustration
for them with no success.
2) It's just too much work for too little money. There are
some "big gigs" out there with the wedding video market, but
a lot more money can be made in the corporate production market
and a lot easier.
As well, I wouldn't invest in buying my own equipment (except
for perhaps a offline system) because there are production
companies that specialize in providing that service, thereby
they can afford to upgrade their gear, you can get the top
end equipment, and you don't have to worry about paying
off a big system, you can include your rentals into the
costs of production.

That's why I'm taking my bachelor's in commerce-business
skills are more than half of it-you need to know how to
sell, what sells, and be able to manage it. The actual
production is a very small part of the overall system.
