You have a problem with the courts dealing with someone who drives
through a red light (fails to stop, fails to take some necessary
action) and kills someone?
sb> Fine, you can say if I _do_ give a virus to someone I'm bad, or

Would you be in trouble if you operated a gun store and put all your
guns on the sidewalk, allowing anyone who wanted one to just take
one? Would you have _no_ responsibility?
sb> How far must one go in taking these precautions? Passwords?

Then don't write virus code. It's real simple to avoid the problem.
