There are lots of American tourists in CR, but they seem to maintain a low
profile. They're mostly interested in Cloud Forest tours and ecotourism in
general. They seem to have a respect for the country that they lack in,
say, Mexico.

One of the nice things about Cuba is that there are virtually no American
tourists. Nothing personal against the Americans, but you must admit that
en masse they tend to pervert the very nature of the country they're
flooding.
