Hi All!
I was using a MODEMTRANS statement in Xlaxnode.ctl, which put the
appropriate B0 or B1 on the *end* of the phone number before dialing. With
this newest release of code, USR has broken that (undocumented) function
and I've had to change. Some of you may already be doing things this way,
but if not, here's what to do:
In Xlaxnode.ctl put the following:
_ _ _ O / _ _ C_U_T_ H_E_R_E_ _ _ _
O \
;Dial translations
;
MODEMTRANS 1 HST !V32t !UV32t ;Group 1 - HST flag only NO V32
MODEMTRANS 1 H14 !V32t !UV32t ;Group 1 - H14 flag only NO V32
MODEMTRANS 1 H16 !V32t !UV32t ;Group 1 - H16 flag only NO V32 ;
MODEMTRANS 2 V32 !HST !H14 !H16 ;Group 2 - V32 but NO HST
MODEMTRANS 2 V32b !HST !H14 !H16 ;Group 2 - V32b but NO HST
MODEMTRANS 2 V32t ;V32Terbo regardless of HST ;
MODEMTRANS 3 PEP !VFC ;Group 3 - PEP but NO VFC
MODEMTRANS 3 PEP !V34 ;Group 3 - PEP but NO V34
_ _ _ O / _ _ C_U_T_ H_E_R_E_ _ _ _
O \
You can define other groups if you wish -- I don't think it's needed, but
I'm still learning! :-)
Now in Binkley.cfg, first note that your prefix statement is no longer used
-- you can comment it out, as it won't be read anyway.
Add the following block:
_ _ _ O / _ _ C_U_T_ H_E_R_E_ _ _ _
O \
; ModemTrans []/[]
;
ModemTrans 0 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 1 ATM1&N0S7=60B1+FCLASS=0DT ; HST
ModemTrans 2 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; V.32
ModemTrans 3 ATM1S7=60+FCLASS=0X4&N3DT ; PEP
ModemTrans 4 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 5 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 6 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 7 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 8 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 9 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 10 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 11 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 12 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 13 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 14 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
ModemTrans 15 ATM1&N0S7=60B0+FCLASS=0DT ; no special flags
_ _ _ O / _ _ C_U_T_ H_E_R_E_ _ _ _
O \
Note that you might want something other than
"M1&N0S7=60+FCLASS=0" -- the only part that I'm concerned
about here is the B0 or B1. Anything that you were doing in the PREFIX
statement is now done here instead.
Don't forget to recompile Xlaxnode -- and you're up and running!
Cheers... Dallas
