I have a Realistic DX-440 shortwave commmunications receiver. I don't know 
why it has the medium wave and shortwave antenna separate. I believe it is a 
connection problem. The shortwave receiption will come in very weak if at 
all. Moving the external antenna cable near the radio connection makes the 
receiption much better until the radio or cable is moved. The problem is not 
with the cable. I tried several different ones.sprayed tuner cleaner er in 
the external antenna connection, but that didn't help. Have any of you had a 
simular problem? Any ideas on how to fix it.
