I have a 2 yr old Epox board with VIA VT6103 adapter chipset that works.
Your mobo does not specify the adapter chipset to compare.

The driver used here are FETND.NIF (1364b) abd FETND.OS2 (62703b)

My NIC would not work if I had more than 3 USB ports config'ed in 
config sys. Suggestions were that there is a irq conflict but I never
bothered to trace that down as I do not need all that many USB's.
So, you may want to try remming out all your USB stuff and give the NIC
another try.
