Meanwhile, this is a virus echo, not the "what if" echo.
"What if" every version of DOS and every version of Windows contained
a bomb which would activate on 1 Jan 1998, erasing everything from
the hard drive?  "What if" Bill Gates was an evil genius from planet
Goofball?  "What if" reality was a myth, you're dead, and just
imagining these conversations are taking place?
If you play the "what if" game it's rather difficult to have any
serious discussion, for every solution to every suspected problem
could be answered with "yes, but what if..."  and we'd all be wasting
our time.
