fwiw: Cutting gear teeth is a 'specialty' in the machining
trades that few others ever even attempt it. Many compound
angles etc. to deal with that have very 'close' tolerances to
maintain. It can be so very complex when using helical gear
teeth that I would personally be on the verge of finding a
different employer rather than deal with that on an every day
basis.
