PH>As I recall, CV is standalone for the DOS version of WP (I started
PH>with
PH>WPDOS 6.0, and still have WPD6.0b but it's not installed at the
PH>moment). The WPWin conversions seem to be .dll files that Windows use,
PH>which makes the conversion fairly transparent for WPWin 6.1. I'm far
PH>from an expert in this, so if I'm incorrect I hope one of the WP gurus
PH>will step in and correct this.
Yes, DOS CV is standalone, and it will convert to several targets. The
version I have goes up to MS-Word 5.5 as a source, but it won't touch MSW
0.
If you're saying that the WIN CV acts like the spell checker, it won't be of
any use to me.
PH>I *think* I may still have the WP Utils disk that has the CV files and
PH>the print driver editor on it. I'll do a little digging, and if I come
PH>up with it will let you know. The Utils disk was downloadable from the
PH>WP support BBS at one time, and I may have that archived on a tape
PH>backup someplace also.
If it's an old disk, it probably won't handle MSW 6.0. I guess my best bet
would be to d/l the WIN CV and give it a try.
