As Joan Scoggin was saying to Wendy Apgar:
JS> That would explain why Easter break resulted in a granny square
JS> afghan large enough to cover a single bed with overhang ... finished
JS> in 5 days... I have three children who seem to get louder and more
JS> demanding every year!
I can imagine. My mom crocheted me an afghan one year.
It was the first one she had ever done so it turned
out rather strangely shaped. I still use it now and then
though.
On the other hand, she put some of my x-stitch pictures
on a childhood theme together with my favorite colors
in a quilt for me that I just love. Almost feel guilty
for using it!
JS> They are currently all in the nearest kid's bedroom screaming and
JS> roaring at one another -- some kid version of "Animal Kingdom", I
JS> think. Hmmmm. I'm starting to get the urge to make a ripple afghan for
JS> a double bed... think I'll start with ecru...
Just think how happy you will be when they go back
to school! I have friends who feel exactly the same way
you do right now!
Wendy
