And one final note, I got this printer serviced when a refilled
cartridge leaked into the cavity. That reset the pages printed and ink
used counters.
Since them, I have printed over 60,000 pages using
519ml Black
128ml Cyan
107ml Magenta
238ml Yellow
Ink useage prior to HP service on the printer
215ml Black
43ml Cyan
36ml Magenta
101ml Yellow
I was not keeping count of pages printed back in Oct 03 when I got the
printer serviced, so I don't know total pages printed as of the service
date.
It may be advisable to ask a HP service tech if the newer HP 11
cartridges do store an expiration date that the printer reads. The
printer then has to keep a battery backed up real-time clock to compare
against. The Biz Ink Jets have a large enough case to make that happen
Actually ALL printers have a large enough case to make that happen,
however, then we get into battery expiration problems with printers that
are more than a couple of years old!!
