That's probably not a real good "fix" though, since the board
would remain down until that semaphore is cleared.

Instead, what may work better for now (at least until James is able to do
something about it), is instead of executing mutil directly from Mystic
using the semaphore, would be to run a script that looks for the semaphore,
runs mutil if it exists, and then double checks to make sure that semaphore
is cleared at the end of the script. At least if mutil crashes that
semaphore would still be cleared and continue to allow client connections
rather than rendering the system completely useless until the sysop
intervenes.
