In point of fact, though, that doesn't happen. ;) IIRC, there've
been a number of elements from fandom that have made it into the
show & been "codified." The problem arises when you have fans
who by-god deMAND!! that *their* "Trek" be used. An arrogant
attitude usually will get a person less than nowhere. And sad to
have to say here also, a number of people who've gotten 115%
wrapped up in *fan*-Trek _have_ adopted that way of thinking.
