Hello, Rob....
RH> I was out on the weekend and had to block the front of the head off
RH> because it was so cold that the glow plug wouldn't stay lit :)
Hmmmmm....I knew you Canadians were TOUGH - but going to that extreme
just to bore holes through the sky is a little too much for me (gr).
Last weekend was JUST RIGHT down here...about 58 deg F, very mild
breeze, lots of sun - we had 12 of our local pilots out chasing the
birds - only one crash (an ARF) but easily rebuildable.
RH> I've never built a Balsa USA kit. I find that mail order is a bit
RH> of a pain up here and usually end up just going to the local hobby
RH> store. I do make the journey to the Toledo show whenever I can tho.
Balsa USA's kits are next to Great Planes in my favorite category - easy
building, good instructions, blue prints not great but OK, good quality
and real good price. Over the years I've built the Phaeton 90, the
Enforcer delta-wing, the Bristol, two Citabria Pro, the big Stingray,
and a Fly-Baby bipe - all still going except the Bristol. BTW, not all
of these are mine - many were built for other pilots who either didn't
have time or space.
RM> Are you building any new stuff to get ready for the warm weather ?

RH> I've been too busy messing with the stupid computer to get to the
RH> workshop. :) I'll have to get down there soon tho and finish all those
RH> projects that seem to build up :)
OK - understood...I've just finished an upgrading treatment on my system -
larger hard-drive, tape backup, and Windows 95 - jury still out on the
Win95 - haven't learned to move around very well at this point - have the
system backed-up before Win95 so real easy to return to Win3.11 - if
things don't come clear pretty soon...bingo...the change gets made !!!!
As for projects, I thought I was busy BEFORE I retired - it's worse now.
OK, back to the shop.....TTYL - Roger
