I found the same stuff and determined that the stuff on the NS drive
(your e:) was a backup of the javaos2 directory on the boot drive (your
c:).  Deleted the 'backup' directory - the one never mentioned in
config.sys - and everything is running fine.  Used the option with the
11/97 Netscape to switch NS to java 1.1 and all works well there, too. 
I'll wait until I get a full backup done before removing the java 1.02
stuff on the boot drive, tho.
