Hi Regina,

No problem, here's a short clip from a file I include in my K12Net
information package to help explain it to my users:

The SPECTRUM BBS is proud to bring the K12Net message conferences
to North Dakota. The K12Net is an international network dedicated
to education. Participants from around the globe can discuss and
share ideas related to a host of curriculum areas as well as chat
with students their own age.

Student participants can use the K12Net areas to increase their
knowledge and awareness of other countries and cultures, to pose
questions about subjects they may be having difficulty with or are
accomplished in. The curriculum areas provide the opportunity for
collaborative work that spans the states and continents. We
currently have active participants in the United States, Canada,
New Zealand and Australia.

There are over 30 different message conferneces (including the
"project channels") that focus on different curriculum areas. There
are 4 chat areas: elementary school, middle school, senior high, and
teacher.

It's a fun network to be a part of. :)
