No, it was made public after a reporter got film and made it public.

And that's exactly my point. If I'm hosting billions of dollars of data you
can bet your ass I've got backups of backups and redundancy out the wazoo.
If I were running a meat business after seeing what happened in europe I
would have been testing everything possible and promoting my brand as
"safe" even though nobody here was having a problem. When someone
here did have a problem I'd have been ready with a series of TV commercials
to capitalize on thier misfortune and take all that business because my
meat is tested and retested safe..
Mad Cow is not a problem, it is an opportunity.

What is it worth to you to take all your competitors business away?

Beef is a consumer good, you are not dealing with risk you are dealing with
perceived risk. If you are dealing with dirty competitors like ADM who play
the perceived risk game out every day on TV expose' of their competitors in
an attempt to drive them out of business then you're well aware of just how
important and powerful public fear is and you should be ready to deal with
it.

Oh give me a break Randall, you can't even touch raw chicken and then not
wash your hands, they don't give a shit about public well being or quality
of the food supply, all they care about is the bottom line and how much
they can NOT do in order to make a few extra bucks. It could cost 1/10th
what it costs to test and they still wouldn't do it unless forced into it.
