DN-> Bob's a hell of better programmer than I am, but he's not a secretary
DN-> who can type at 100+ words per minute, nor can any of the other in
DN-> his staff.
Hey, I backspace 500+ words per minute!
;-)
(interject some humor into a somewhat tense situation...)
DN-> Yes, we ARE going to ship an OS/2 version of PowerBASIC. No, I have
DN-> no clue as to when it will ship (I can't even remotely guess). But
DN-> Bob is bound and determined to do it. And I can assure you that IBM
DN-> is not letting him forget either.
Take your time. Get it *right*. I think the users here who think the
vastly outnumbered OS/2 users take priority over the needs of so many
Windows programmers needs to understand you're in this for the money,
and also for the customer. But... for the money, too! There is
nothing wrong with prioritizing that if there are more customers
willing to pay for product "A", and less customers but nevertheless
important customers willing to pay for product "B", then development
team "C" produces item "A" first!
It's simple logic. Simple business. You should NOT have to defend this.
Not only that, you'll make all your major mistakes for the most part
in producing product "A", so when the "B" customers finally get
their stuff off the presses, it should be better quality control!
GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE THAT WAIT.
